2 bikes per month is pretty low rate… Considering how many there are in Amsterdam… Maybe it is cause of the penalties…
@Orthodoxcrusader I by no means heard of someone going to jail for stealing a bike. I do know that on average a bike gets stolen twice per month in Amsterdam. But I don’t live in Amsterdam.
Most bikes have a serial digit, so if you register your bike and someone stole it, and you can find that person and prove he stole your bike I guess you could go to jail, but I don’t know.

In the netherlands you need to be 18 to get marihuana and a lot of the coffeeshops where you can get marihuana have cameras outside to check if you’re not getting it for someone younger. And they do check your ID.
