I am conducting some research on the following chemicals: dioxin, MSG, high fructose corn syrup, and mercury. I have been made aware of their toxic properties and am looking for any info regarding legislation/regulation on the part of the US goverment. What measures, if any, have been in enacted? I imagine the FDA plays a prominent role in a lot of this, but more specific examples would be incredibly helpful. Sorry this is so broad; I am particularily interested in state and federal controls on these chemicals. Thanks!
