The last point you made is untrue. They needed control of the land. To achieve this in a millitary sense, with 500,000 troops – it subdue would have taken 6 – 12 months to achieve something approaching a secure environment. The reason the invasion occurred is because Saddam had the gall to trade oil in Euro’s – something the US couldn’t tolerate. Elf had signed a deal in 2002 to allow themselves access to 33% of Iraqs reserves. Thats why the french and germans were so much against the invasion

The Christian religion especially the Catholic faction has kept people believing in the most ridiculous concepts except charity. If you are going to believe in Popes, Angels, Devils, Spirits, Heaven, Hell, Eternal Life…..than expect to be preyed upon by all better educated people.
Traditionally Jewish ideology permitted something that Christian Ideology did not…which is a “take what you can get philosophy”. That is from a Jewish economics professor that I had in college and I agree with him. Today I would say that nearly all people in the world have a “take what you can philosophy.” I believe that historically, Christians have been quite naive about how to deal with humans in general. If this concept was more prevalent in Jewish tradition, that is no longer right.
I would not generalize about the Jewish people…..just like the phrase…
